Georgia Juvelis Chief Communications Officer

Georgia Juvelis is Chief Communications Officer at AMC Global Media, where she oversees the company’s internal and external strategic communications, including corporate communications, publicity, talent relations, awards and corporate marketing. She also serves as co-executive sponsor of the company’s Elevate Business Employee Resource Group, which supports women’s career development.

Before becoming Chief Communications Officer in 2023, Juvelis held a series of increasingly senior communications roles at AMC Global Media, overseeing corporate and business communications as the company evolved.

Her tenure has spanned pivotal moments in the company’s history, including its transition into streaming with a portfolio of targeted services including AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, All Reality, Sundance Now and HIDIVE; the growth of AMC Studios; the company’s expansion into international markets; and its 2011 launch as a publicly traded company.

She joined as AMC was beginning its transformation into a destination for original programming, a period that saw the premieres of Mad Men in 2007, Breaking Bad in 2008, followed by The Walking Dead in 2010. The company went on to garner an impressive collection of Emmy Awards, including Mad Men‘s historic 2008 win for Outstanding Drama Series, making it the first basic-cable series to receive the honor.

Prior to joining AMC Global Media, Juvelis was Vice President of Communications at News Corp.’s Gemstar-TV Guide, where she oversaw corporate communications, media relations, talent relations and publicity. Earlier in her career, she worked in publicity at Discovery Communications and ran a public relations consulting firm in New York and San Francisco, with clients including Hearst Communications and PBS. She’s a first-generation graduate of the University of Maryland-College Park. She also holds a Level 3 Advanced Degree in Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.

Juvelis has received a number of industry recognitions, including PR Week Woman of Distinction, PR News People of the Year honoree, Ragan Top Women in Communications, Multichannel News Wonder Woman, and recognition among Cablefax Magazine’s Most Powerful Women and Cablefax 100.
