NEW YORK, NY, November 5, 2026 – AMC Global Media today announced that the spellbinding mystery thriller YAGA is the #1 exclusive series launch in the history of AMC+, delivering record viewership and subscriber acquisition to the service since its premiere on October 23. The series also charted as the #1 social drama across all U.S. TV and streaming on its premiere day.
The fourth episode arrives tomorrow, exclusively on AMC+ in the U.S. New episodes of the eight-episode, half-hour contemporary drama, which reimagines the myth of Baba Yaga, debut every Friday, with an epic two-episode finale on Friday, November 27.
“From the moment we announced YAGA and its incredible ensemble cast, the response from fans has been overwhelming,” said Courtney Thomasma, EVP of Linear and Streaming Products for AMC Global Media. “It’s incredibly exciting to see that enthusiasm translate into a record-breaking premiere, and to see those new viewers discovering our collection of bold, wildly original and wonderfully ‘witchy’ genre-bending stories that have made AMC+ a premier destination for supernatural and fantasy fans.”
Based on the hit play by showrunner and writer Kat Sandler, YAGA follows Rapp (Noah Reid, The Vampire Lestat, Schitt’s Creek), a private investigator who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Hudson Williams, Heated Rivalry). He finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Clark Backo, Venom: The Last Dance, Letterkenny), a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, Katherine (Carrie-Anne Moss, The Matrix films, Memento), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic.
AMC+ has a long history of successful and popular series set in the world of witchcraft and the supernatural. Returning for new seasons in 2027 are Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches (December 30) and Fallen, based on Lauren Kate’s best-selling paranormal romance series. Other popular titles available to stream now include A Discovery of Witches, starring Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode, Sanctuary: A Witches Tale, based on the novel by V.V. James, Forbidden Fruits, starring Lili Reinhart, Alexandra Shipp, Victoria Pedretti and Lola Tung, and Midnight, Texas, featuring Hudson Williams’ Heated Rivalry co-star François Arnaud.
YAGA, a Crave Original series, is produced by Blink49 Studios and Front Street Pictures in association with Bell Media. David Frazee and Rachel Talalay serve as co-directors; Mackenzie Donaldson, Andrew Miller, and Carrie-Anne Moss are executive producers; and Charles Cooper is producer.
The series is distributed internationally by Sphere Abacus, a Bell Media company, and was exclusively acquired by AMC Global Media for AMC+ in the United States.
